Asda opens sustainability concept store in Leeds
Asda has opened a sustainability concept store in Leeds, which features product refill options, packaging-free products, etc. The opening of the store in Middleton, Leeds comes with a plastics reduction strategy that seeks to remove 3 billion pieces of plastic from Asda’s private label products by 2025. Asda also intends to become emission-free by 2040 and cut the waste they produce by 50 percent by 2050. The retailer has also committed to launch over 40 refillable products by 2023.
