Perwoll also participated in the Sustainable Fashion Day
A special themed event took place on October 7 with the participation of prominent representatives of the Hungarian fashion industry. This year, for the first time – but hopefully in a tradition-creating way – the Day of Sustainable Fashion was held at the Hungarian National Museum with the support of Perwoll.
The theme of the event consisted of three sections, the basic message of which was the same: what can we do for sustainable fashion? How can we achieve real results in the fashion market during our sustainability work?
In the first part, the audience could see a fashion show presenting the recent diploma collection of Budapest Metropolitan University graduates. The training of fashion designers at Budapest Metropolitan University goes back ten years. The diploma collections of METU students give a comprehensive picture of the creators’ personal creativity and the market and artistic character of the training. After that, the audience could see performances by Ziggi, Virág Kerényi, Viktória Varga, Nubu and Péter Merő. All of them consider it very important to talk about and act on these sustainability issues. Therefore, the principle of zero waste, the concept of reuse, and the use of environmentally friendly materials prevailed in their collections.
In the second section of the event, the invited experts expressed their thoughts and opinions at a podium discussion. Among other things, it was discussed how sustainability appears in practice, as well as which direction and path the representatives of the brands in the fashion shows chose to solve this extremely important economic and social issue.
