The FAO expects price increases, but not crisis
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations estimates, that the extension of Russian grain export ban will not cause another food crisis.
Although this may cause price increases in the commodity market it will not lead to a similar food crisis, like the crisis of two years ago – believes the expert of FAO.
Russia, introduced a ban on grain exports on August 15, after the drought decreased the Russian grain crop from last year's 97 million tonnes, to about 67 million tons – reports MTI.
