The farmers affected by frost and ice can expect generous compensation
Until the November deadline 5005 compensation applications were submitted by farmers to the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency.
Proportionately, the most compensation applications (2014 and 800) arrived from Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Bács-Kiskun counties.
Incidentally, in the period between 1 November 2015 and 31 October 2016 the farmers filed nearly 11 thousand claims. Most of them (6,500 times) reported the spring frost damages followed by hailstorm damages with nearly three thousand reports. (by our colleague)
