Danone sets new trends in health nutrition
Danone, the French food industry giant, pays special attention to the health nutrition business, in which it seeks to meet the special nutritional needs of the aging population and patients. According to Antoine de Saint-Affrique, the company’s CEO, they are increasing the development of nutritional drinks for cancer patients and the elderly, adapting to the needs of an aging society.
The United Nations predicts that by 2050, the world’s population aged 65 and over will reach 1.6 billion. This demographic change not only induces a change in dietary habits, but also an increase in the frequency of diseases, which also generates special nutritional needs.
In addition to nutritious drinks, Danone also produces products enriched with protein, nutrients and fiber, which support the health of the intestinal flora and contribute to the fight against diseases. In addition, the company pays special attention to the development of special products such as Fortimel, which is made for anorexic cancer patients and contains all the necessary nutrients.
