Artificial intelligence also controls parcel delivery
In the FMCG sector, there are continuous technological developments aimed at increasing efficiency and speed. One prominent area where revolutionary changes are taking place is the field of parcel delivery, where smart drones and robots are taking over.
The new technology allows for faster and more cost-effective delivery from warehouses to the customer’s home. Drones controlled by artificial intelligence not only reduce delivery time, but also help delivery drivers find parking spaces faster.
Companies like Walmart are already at the forefront of using smart drones and artificial intelligence to deliver packages. And Amazon has been testing and using drones for delivery for years, further increasing the efficiency of the delivery process.
With new technology from Alphabet-owned drone delivery company Wing, drones are able to avoid obstacles and drop packages precisely at designated locations. The speed of delivery is also impressive, on average it can be done in just half an hour – writes The Wall Street Journal.
