According to the packaging industry, 15,000 tons of plastic per year must be replaced in Hungary with a more environmentally friendly product
Two years ago, when it became certain that Hungary would have to transpose the EU ban on certain disposable plastics into its legal system this year, the volume of the affected products was still below 10,000 tons per year, according to the association. This rose to 15,000 tons last year due to a significant increase in the number of takeaway food cans, drink glasses and carrying bags due to the coronavirus pandemic, the CSAOSZ pointed out. (MTI)
