The Hungarian Post expects a growth in packet traffic
With the growth of e-commerce, the number of shipments has also increased considerably in recent years, the Hungarian Post transported more than 21 million domestic packets last year and over 18 million international incoming packets, and this year the number of commodity shipments can reach an annual increase of 20 percent – the Hungarian Post told MTI.
In the weeks before Christmas, the number of packets and international incoming items is outstanding, and the amount of daily commodity shipments is twice as large as the average. During the logistics peak period, the Magyar Posta (Hungarian Post) also increased its capacities this year, and the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) is prepared for the usual increased customs clearance at that time – according to the announcement.
