The rain slows down the corn harvest
Nearly half of the planted corn has been harvested in Komárom-Esztergom county. The works are going slowly, due to the moisture content of grains and due to the fuzarium infection – the director of the county Chamber of Agriculture told MTI.
Kalmár Zsolt informed that corn was sewn on 28 thousand hectares in the County. Now harvest is complete on 16 thousand hectares. The average yield is 8,5 tonnes per hectare. The selling prices are around 33-34 thousand HUF. (MTI)
