Coop is the second in the rankings after Tesco

Earlier this year, the French Auchan took over the loss-making Cora hypermarkets from the Belgian-French Delhaize Group. For the other two members of the group (Match and Profi) the two greatest Hungarian chains CBA and Coop jointly applied for.
In the competition Coop seems to be more succesful now than CBA. Coop can jump into the second place behind Tesco in the ranking of the retail chains. This year, Coop’s revenues can increase to 540 billion HUF after the 510 billion HUF of last year. The company expects a revenue of 630 billion HUF next year, and can be the largest Hungarian-owned chain of stores. (hetivalasz.hu)
