Coca-Cola HBC Hungary has published its 2022 sustainability report
Coca-Cola HBC Hungary supports the corporate group’s sustainability goals published in 2018, and taking into account the UN’s sustainability agenda for the period up to 2030, as a leading company in the soft drinks industry, strives to ensure that its operations, production, and the entire supply chain of the products and burden the environment as little as possible during its life cycle, pay maximum attention to the aspects of biodiversity, while creating a safe, stable workplace and workplace community for its employees, where everyone is guaranteed the opportunity for performance-based professional advancement.
Coca-Cola HBC Group’s commitment and results are demonstrated by the fact that in 2022 it once again topped the Dow Jones Sustainability Ranking (DJSI) among the world’s beverage companies. Among other things, the corporate group has made a commitment to reduce the calorie content of its carbonated soft drink portfolio by 25% by 2025, to contribute to the collection of packaging waste equivalent to 75% of beverage bottles, and to use 50% of the total energy consumption of bottling plants from clean and renewable sources. be derived, reduce water consumption by 20% in corporate units operating in water-stressed regions, and involve 1 million young people in the #énvæstöm (#YouthEmpowered) program.
Adhering to the above objectives, every year since 2008, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary has reported on its sustainability performance according to the “Core” application level of the most widespread international reporting framework, the GRI Standards. As part of the CocaCola Hellenic group, it contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with its initiatives and management of important topics.
