According to a CIB analyst, the Hungarian economy may grow by 4.5 percent this year
The outlook for the Hungarian economy is favorable. Compared to CIB Bank’s 4.1 percent March forecast, the Hungarian economy may grow by as much as 4.5 percent this year, and next year’s growth may be above the previously communicated 4.7 percent, Trippon Mariann, financial institution senior analyst said at an online press conference on Thursday.
She emphasized that the more favorable outlook reflects the impact of a faster-than-expected opening, which will be almost complete by the middle of the year.
As in developed countries, rising inflation is a problem in Hungary as well, with strong upside risks, the analyst pointed out. (MTI)
