Three quarters of companies are affected by turnover this year
Companies operated with restrained recruitment in the recent period due to the volatile economic environment, but the proportion of companies affected by turnover did not decrease compared to last year, and even increased slightly. The reason for this is the increased employee activity in parallel with the decreasing number of advertisements: in the past year, more than three quarters of companies were affected by the labor flow, according to the recent publication of Profession.hu, HR Körkép 2023.
Compared to last year, there was only a minimal increase in labor migration among Hungarian companies, but the number of job opportunities offered to employees decreased significantly. Due to the combined effect of the two factors, the average number of applicants per advertisement increased significantly.
Increasing migration is common
Fluctuation affected 78 percent of Hungarian companies to some extent this year, and 22 percent of companies reported an unchanged or nearly identical team. Compared to the previous year, 44 percent of the responding organizations stated that the flow of labor was higher, and 34 percent said that it was roughly the same. Last year, the ratio was roughly the same, three-quarters of the companies were affected to some extent by turnover, which is typical of the higher-than-average ratio in the machine manufacturing and heavy industry sectors.
