The first reliable biomarkers of powdery mildew infection have been identified.
In their publication, Science of the Total Environment, the researchers identified volatile compounds released into the environment of infected wheat by a worldwide fungus.
The long-term goal of the research group working within the framework of the GINOP project is to develop and use a bioelectronic sensor – e-nose – in agriculture capable of sensitive detection of identified biomarkers, ELKH informed MTI on Wednesday. (MTI)
