Businesses operating buffet carts typically purchase raw materials from small factories and primary producers, the price of which has increased by 100-120 percent in the past year, and in response to this, the buffet cart operators have increased the prices of the products on offer by an average of 30 percent, said the founder of Food Truck Show Hungary Kft. to MTI to.
Zoltán Horváth – who is also the president of the Hungarian Street Food Association and the main organizer of the Food Truck Show – emphasized that the buffet cart operators strive for quality with their service, and in their pricing they try to find the psychological limit for which there is still demand.
High energy prices are also a challenge for businesses, which can be solved by installing a solar panel on the roof of the buffet carts and using the batteries connected to them to cover the electricity needed for the refrigerators to operate at night.
