British convenience foods are the healthiest
According to a global survey of more than four hundred thousand convenience foods surveyed in 12 countries around the world, prepared, semi-finished and finished products made in the UK contain the least amount of sugar, saturated fat and salt.
The George Institute for Global Health in Australia used food comparisons, based on the country’s value system, which measures the nutritional value, nutritional value, salt, sugar, saturated fat, protein, calcium and fiber of the least healthy foods (half a point) to the healthiest (five points).
