The success of a Hungarian wine at the Vinalies Internationales wine competition
One of the world's largest international wine competition the Vinalies Internationales was held last weekend. This year 3582 wines of 40 countries were competing, of which only 65 were Hungarian wines.
The Hungarian wines competed extraordinarily well at the event. The domestic winemakers won nine gold medals (13.8%) and 11 silver medals (16.9%), which is an outstanding achievement. The wines with the highest scores were awarded in seven separate categories.
We are very proud that the best red wine became a Hungarian wine from Szekszárd; the 2011 vintage “Görögszó” wine, which was bottled by winemaker Dúzsi Tamás.
