EP’s professional committee wants more protection for bees than proposed before
In a resolution adopted on Tuesday by a European Parliament committee, the European Commission’s proposal on the protection of pollinating insects was considered inadequate.
According to a resolution adopted by the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety in Brussels, the European Commission’s so-called European pollinator protection initiative does not contain adequate measures to protect bees.
The proposal does not adequately address the reasons for the reduction of pollinating insects – it has been identified. (MTI)
