Hungarian startup success at Web Summit
On November 22, 2024, Beeco, one of Hungary’s most promising green startups, achieved outstanding success at one of the world’s largest technology conferences, Web Summit in Lisbon. Already known as Hungary’s largest green map app, Beeco has now gained international attention and entered the forefront of sustainable solutions.
The Beeco app’s mission is to help people make environmentally conscious decisions. With over 30,000 green locations across Hungary and sustainability-supporting coupons, it aims to simplify sustainable living. Participating in Web Summit opened new doors for global expansion.
International milestone: the role of Web Summit
The Beeco team proudly represented Hungary among the world’s top 3,000 startups. They were selected as one of the 15 most innovative green startups in the world at the Startup Showcase, where they had the opportunity to demonstrate how they bring innovation and value to the sustainability market.
During the event, the team made over 250 new connections and discussed inspiring collaborations. The presentation by Christian Kroll, CEO of Ecosia, was particularly memorable, reinforcing the importance of sustainable companies.

The inspiration and new partnerships experienced at the conference have strengthened the startup’s role as a pioneer of Hungarian innovation that represents community values.
