Rossmann increases revenue by 8.5 per cent
Rossmann increased its revenue to €16.6 billion in the 2025 financial year, marking an 8.5% rise compared to the previous year.
The company plans to invest €613 million in the upcoming business year, €73 million more than in 2024.
Germany remains the drugstore retailer’s core market: its 2,342 stores generated €10.5 billion in revenue, up 6.1%. International operations, however, grew significantly faster. Subsidiaries in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Albania, Kosovo, Spain, Switzerland, and the online business in Denmark achieved a combined increase of 13 per cent, reaching €6.1 billion.
Across Europe, Rossmann employs 67,700 people in 5,209 stores and plans to open 342 new locations in 2026, including 63 in Germany. The rollout of the company’s new store design will also continue.
In Germany, 41,300 employees received two special bonus payments totaling €21 million. According to Raoul Roßmann, spokesperson of the management board, economic success and social responsibility go hand in hand, and growth enables the company to invest in the future and support communities facing challenges.
Through its “Rossmann spendet Licht” scheme, the company has helped 29 schools in Lower Saxony switch to LED lighting, saving an average of 8.8 tonnes of CO₂ per school annually. With the “Klasse 0” initiative, Rossmann supports educational equality for preschool children, providing €1 million in funding. The pilot phase will begin in March 2026.
