GKI: economic growth may be around 3 percent this year
After last year’s 2 percent, Hungary’s GDP growth will be around 3 percent this year. In particular, due to the restart of the EU support a significant growth will occur this year after last year’s significant decline in investment, while the rapidly increasing consumption momentum will continue – the GKI Economic Research Co. revealed in its latest forecast.
According to the communication sent to MTI the import growth will be 2 percentage points faster than exports, while the terms of trade will only stagnate. Inflation will pick up. While this year’s economic data will be positive, the signs of preparation for the period after 2020 when the EU funds will run out can not be seen. (MTI)
