7-Eleven takes Japanese convenience to India
Seven & i Holdings will open a Japanese-style 7-Eleven store in India this year, to exploit the great opportunities in a market dominated by family-owned small shops, as growth slows down in Japan. US unit 7-Eleven has signed a franchise agreement with a subsidiary of Indian company Future Retail. The total number of stores has yet to be determined
