The net financial assets of households increased to HUF 69,513 billion
2022 IV. by the end of the quarter, the financial assets of households increased to HUF 83,939 billion, which is an increase of HUF 1,907 billion compared to the previous quarter, and the increase is HUF 6,080 billion on an annual basis. The level of household liabilities was HUF 14,426 billion with a quarterly increase of HUF 334 billion, while the annual change was an increase of HUF 801 billion. Thus, as a result of the two, net financial assets increased to HUF 69,513 billion with a quarterly increase of HUF 1,573 billion.
On a transactional basis, the increase in wealth was played by the fact that the cash stock increased by only 12 billion forints, while the stock of demand deposits decreased by 306 billion forints. Apparently, inflationary expectations began to be incorporated into the decisions of households and they took steps to protect against inflation, as well as additional resources to maintain the level of consumption. are necessary. Meanwhile, the stock of “term deposits” increased by 170 billion. After the previous significant decrease, the long-term bond portfolio rose again and increased by HUF 236 billion, while the population increased its short-term bond portfolio by HUF 404 billion. Stock market shares were sold by households for HUF 31 billion in the quarter, while the quarterly net transaction of investment shares was still outstanding, plus HUF 552 billion, and we invested HUF 35 billion in insurance.
