Farmers bought 65 percent more pesticides
In the case of plant protection products, 2024. IV–VI. based on monthly data, farmers bought 65 percent more of the observed products than in the same period a year earlier. Compared to the second quarter of 2023, the sales volume of fungicides increased by 44 percent, herbicides by 67 percent, and insecticides by 73 percent.
Among the fungicides, Falcon Pro sold the most in the period in question, Force 1.5 G for insecticides, and Fozát 480 for herbicides. These three products accounted for 48 percent of all sales in IV-VI 2024. in the month. The above-mentioned fungicide and insecticide took first place in the second quarter of 2023 based on the volume sold, but for herbicides, Laudis was at the top of the podium. With the exception of a few products, the average sales price of the examined products decreased unanimously (by 7-48 percent) in the period in question compared to the second quarter of the previous year. On the other hand, the price of Sumi Alfa 5 EC increased by 3 percent, that of Mospilan 20 SG by 4 percent, and that of Eurokén 2000 80 WG by 12 percent. Even compared to the first quarter of 2024, sales prices typically decreased during the observed period, the largest for Pictor SC (-38 percent). Among the fungicides, the prices of Propulse and Falcon Pro increased by 1-1 percent, among the insecticides, the prices of Decis Mega, Judo, Force 1.5 G and Karate Zeon 5 CS increased by 1-8 percent, while the herbicides did not price increase, there was stagnation for 3 products (Laudis, Pulsar Plus, Wing P).
