Russian subsidiary of OBI sold for 600 rubles
Jozef Lyokumovich bought the Russian subsidiary of the OBI store chain for 600 rubles: acquiring a 60% stake in the company. The owner of the remaining 40% is Russian, but his identity is unknown.
The price of OBI’s Russian subsidiary was estimated at 100 million euros, but according to the buyer, it owed 30 million euros to the parent company, which was settled, but the litigation regarding the debts of some Russian companies is still ongoing. According to the new owner, the network of 27 stores generated a loss of 2.5 billion rubles last year, which was not reduced by the shutdown of nearly one and a half months.
