Retail sales increased by 4.7 percent in the Czech Republic
Retail sales increased by 4.7 percent in the Czech Republic in September, compared with a year before. In August, the increase was 8 percent, but this year two more working days occured in September than last year – the Czech Statistical Office said on Monday in Prague.
In a monthly comparison, retail sales increased in September by 0.6 percent, compared with August.
Similar to the previous months, the sales of online stores incresed the most rapidly in September,by 21.5 percent. Sales also increased in stores offering household appliances, health and beauty products, as well as in stores offering cultural and sporting products. (Kokes János, MTI)
