One of the iconic locations of Hungarian beer culture is 45 years old
With restored relics, beer history AI time travel short film, id. The Dreher Sörmüzeum, which houses one of the largest and richest beer industry collections in Hungary, is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a board game featuring the adventures of Antal Dreher and discounted guided tours. The main task of the museum is to preserve and introduce the Hungarian beer culture and the Dreher heritage: this is also served by the cultural marketing study project organized jointly with the Budapest Metropolitan University, which is a kind of meeting point between a modern generation and a traditional industry, as well as the related intellectual and industrial for his inheritance.
Dreher Sörgyárak is celebrating multiple anniversaries this year, as not only the 170-year-old company is celebrating, but also the 45-year-old Dreher Beer Museum located on the grounds of the Köbány factory. On this occasion, through special solutions and activities, interested parties are invited to the museum in order to introduce the legendary history of Kőbány beer production and the Drehers to the widest possible audience.
Youth beer adventures Following Antal Dreher
Dreher Sörgyárak makes its debut specially for this occasion, a limited-edition board game entitled Wandering Years – The Age of Dreher Adventures, in which the participants are the legendary master brewer, id. You can follow Antal Dreher’s life story from his youth. Players must travel with him to the best breweries in Europe to “learn the art of brewing” and to become a brewery owner who knows the ins and outs of the trade.The board game also features iconic items from the Dreher Beer Museum, such as the company medal painting of King Gambrinus, known as the “patron saint” of beer producers, and the museum’s oldest artefact of mysterious origin, presumably the chest of the Pesti Brewery Guild. The board game can only be purchased at the beer museum while supplies last.
During the museum guided tour, participants can delve into the history of the Drehers in Hungary, while also learning more about the exhibits at the Dreher Sörmüzeum. In September, all interested parties can exchange tickets for the museum guided tour at half price, during which they can get to know the beer industry museum’s specialist collection, which is unique in our country.
