The Slovak economy almost caught up with the performance of the Czech Republic
Twenty years after the establishment of the Slovak Republic, at end of last year, the performance of the Slovak economy almost caught up with the performance of the Czech economy – shows the analysis of the Unicredit Bank, which was sent to MTI on Monday.
The per capita GDP of the Slovak economy, calculating on purchasing power parity in 1993 – when the two countries have separated – was only 60 percent of the GDP of the Czech Republic, while at the end of last year it has reached 94 percent. (Starovic Tibor, MTI)
