Wolt delivers more than 8,000 products from 73 SPAR stores in 40 Hungarian cities: Hungarians are already doing their weekly shopping online
Wolt is now taking care of our bulk shopping at store prices in 73 SPAR stores in Hungary, after the cooperation between the two companies, which began in the summer, became complete. Customers mainly order fresh products through the app, with the most common item in their basket being the Caesar roll. The figures also show that customers like to do their weekly bulk shopping online.
Pastries and fresh vegetables are the most popular products
In addition to 9 am, 2 and 3 pm are the most popular ordering periods in the cooperation between Wolt and SPAR, which began in the summer. According to the experience since the launch, Monday and Saturday are the real peak periods, and the range of most popular products has already emerged.
Two types of Caesar rolls also appear on the top list. Shoppers place the traditional version in their virtual shopping carts most often, but at the bottom of the top ten list we also find a related product: whole-grain Caesar rolls. Only milk was able to achieve a similar feat in the popularity competition, as the low-fat, 1.5 percent, one-liter package is in fourth place, and the 2.8 percent version is in eighth place.
Zalaegerszeg is the record order so far
The other top 10 products also belong to the fresh products category, such as cheese stangli (2nd), bananas (5th), snake cucumbers (6th), cocoa snails (7th) and retro kifli (9th). The average shopping cart contains a dozen products, which also indicates that Hungarians are increasingly doing their weekly shopping online.
The previous record order value of 129 thousand forints is held by a customer from Zalaegerszeg, but there were also record-breaking shipments in Nagykanizsa (115 thousand) and Sopron (111 thousand). The most determined customer has already had goods delivered to him more than 75 times from SPAR’s selection of over 8,000 products, worth a total of about 800 thousand forints.
