300 million pieces less tesco bags

Tesco encourages its customers to choose eco-conscious solutions, instead of disposable shopping bags.

The chain offers "evergreen" bags, that can only be purchased once, then again, if necessary, can be replaced free of charge. From Friday, the costumers should pay for nylon shopping bags, in order to repel disposable shopping bags, to protect the environment.
Tesco, last year introduced the payment for nylon shopping bags in a number of its stores. This measure of Tesco resulted in 300 million pieces less nylon bags in a year. The price of the nylon bags will be five forints in every Tesco supermarkets, from Friday.
