Magazine: SPAR celebrated its 30-year anniversary in 2021
In spite of the pandemic, SPAR’s sales performance was HUF 791.8bn in 2021, 7.2% better than in 2020.
At the end of last year there were 614 SPAR stores in Hungary, from which 35 were INTERSPAR hypermarkets. SPAR operates the Regnum meat processing plant and training centre in Bicske and another meat processing plant in Perbál, plus the SPAR enjoy. convenience factory in Üllő.
The retailer offers 4,300 different private label products, which are responsible for more than a quarter of its sales revenue. Managing director Gabriella Heiszler added that locally made “SPAR HAZAI.SZERETEM” food products – high quality Hungarian specialties – debuted in stores last August. //
