SPAR donated 2700 tons of products
The store chain has been providing a unique donation program for animal parks and shelters and wildlife parks in Hungary for eight years – Origo wrote after the communication of SPAR.
The company’s stores throughout the year provided dry and canned food for the National Animal Welfare Foundation’s shelters.
In 2011, SPAR Hungary launched its new donation program to support domestic animal protection organizations. The group offers products that are no longer commercially available or withdrawn from supermarkets and hypermarkets, to organizations, associations, zoos, or wildlife parks that deal with the care and rescue of animals.
