The Nestlé factory in Diósgyőr manufactures products to 23 countries for Christmas
Nearly 1,400 tons, winter seasonal chocolate figurines were produced for this year's holiday season, at Nestlé’s Diósgyőr-based plant. 80 percent of this will be exported, so in the winter the rich chocolate delicacies will be transported to 23 countries in 2012.
Every year, the demand for Chocolate Santa Clauses and other seasonal figures increases. In the Diósgyőr plant which is the only plant of Nestlé, that is specialized on chocolate figurines, last year, more than 2,800 tons of figurines – a total of 73.5 million pieces – were made, until the end of this year it is expected that more than 3,200 tons of sweets will leave the factory. It is an about a 14 percent increase, of which about 1,400 tons are being made for the winter season.
