The 2023 local project supported by Tesco can be realized with a tender submitted in 2023
Nearly HUF 490 million in support for more than 1,900 local projects based on the votes of more than 29 million customers. This is where Tesco’s “You choose, we help” tender program is now in terms of numbers, which provides an additional HUF 42 million for around 180 new local initiatives during the 14th round that started on October 9. The department store chain is waiting for the application materials until November 3, so one of the successful applicants of 2023 will be able to implement the 2023 community project of the program’s existence.
During 13 rounds, Tesco customers voted with more than 29.6 million tokens to support communities living near their place of residence in Tesco’s “You choose, we help” program. Those who participated in the decision with their votes contributed to the implementation of 1,903 tender projects, for which the department store chain provided funds of nearly HUF 490 million.
Local organizations, friendly communities, nurseries, kindergartens and schools without a foundation, as well as non-profit small and medium-sized enterprises, even condominiums and housing cooperatives, who want to contribute to the development of the life of the local community with their initiative can apply for Tesco’s application. The special feature of the program lies in the fact that Tesco entrusts the allocation of the financial framework available in the current round to local customers, as they are the ones who can best judge which of the pre-juried initiatives they consider the most deserving of support. Based on their votes, the first place in the district receives HUF 400,000, the second with the most votes receives HUF 200,000, and the third receives HUF 100,000.
