No increase in the number of bank-customers in 2010
In the past 10 years, 2010 was the first year when banks have not gained a significant number of new customers. Still 82 percent of the adult population has a bank-contact: this is less than the average of Western-European countries, but also falls behind other Eastern-European regions – GfK Hungária published. Not only Austria or Slovenia has more bank-contacts than Hungarian citizens do, but also Czech, Slovakian and Croatian people between 15-69 keep in touch with more banks than we do.
