Hungarian inflation at 2007 heights
In January 2022, consumer prices were on average 7.9 percent higher than a year before. Inflation was last higher in August 2007, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.

Prices rose nearly 8 percent year-on-year in January
Over the past year, fuel and food prices have risen the most. Consumer prices rose an average of 1.4 percent in a month.
Annual core inflation was 7.4 percent in January. (MTI)
