Real wages decreased in 2007
2 million 760 thousand persons were employed by enterprises employing at least 5 persons and by budgetary and social institutions, as well as assigned non-profit organizations in January–December 2007.
1 million 933 thousand people worked in
the enterprise sector and 749 thousand persons were employed in the
budgetary one. Average gross nominal wages of full-time employees
amounted to HUF 185 000 in January–December 2007. Average gross and
net earnings by national concept rose by 8.0% and by 2.8%
respectively compared to the same period of the previous year. In
budgetary institutions average gross wages increased by 6.4% in
January–December 2007 while they rose by 9.1% in enterprises.
Average gross monthly earnings according to SNA concept was 195 300
HUF and rose by 8.2% in January–December 2007.
