20% less sugar beet to process
From the total of 805,000 tonnes of sugar beet 119,000 tonnes of sugar will be placed in to the silos. The factories would still be able to cover local demand.
Magyar Cukor is scheduled to put into operation in a few weeks Europe's largest
biogas producing equipment specialised for the process of sugar factory by-products.
With this new equipment the company not only aspires to become more
environmentally friendly but also hopes to make substantial savings on its
energy bill.
