Danone sales grow by 18.7% in First Quarter Sales 2008
According to company's consolidated report sales increased to Euro 3,760 million, thanks to Activia and the purchase of Dutch baby-food maker Royal Numico NV.
Sales rose to 3.76 billion euros ($5.8
billion) in the three months through March from 3.17 billion euros a
year earlier, the Paris-based company said. Excluding currency
movements, revenue advanced 11 percent. This like-for-like sales
growth was driven by a +3.0% rise in volume and a +8.4% rise in
value.
Danone stuck to its forecast for annual
sales growth of 8 percent to 10 percent excluding acquisitions and
exchange rates.
