‘It is a joy to give!’ initiative collects school supplies for 1,500 children

The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and SPAR Magyarország collected more than 57,000 school supply products as part of the ‘It is a joy to give!’ campaign. Between 21 July and 5 September shoppers bought donation cards in 33 INTERSPAR stores and the SPAR online shop for more than HUF 2.2 million, from which the school supplies were purchased for 1,500 children in need.

‘It is a joy to give!’ is 25 years old this year and the volunteers of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service also collected school supply donations for four days at the end of August: more than 32,000 exercise books, 18,000 pens and pencils, 450 pencil cases, 71 school bags and 6,000 creative items were delivered to poor families, together with the 700 bags of school supplies – compiled from the sum from the gift card donations. www.adniorom.hu (x)
