The oldest bread in the world is 14,000 years old
The oldest direct evidence of bread ever found, dating back over 14000 years was discovered by archaeologists at an excavation site in Jordan.
On the basis of the studies, it is more than 14,000 years old, which means that it was almost 4000 years before cultivation had stared. The finds were found in the Black Desert in a northeastern Jordan excavation. The flat bread was baked in the ashes of a fire place or on a hot stone. (agrarszektor.hu)
