95 employees dismissed at Electrolux Lehel Ltd.
In 2008, Electrolux Lehel Ltd. experienced a drop in demand, which accelerated at the end of the year, and thus the refrigerator-factory of Nyíregyháza had to dismiss 95 employees – János Takács, CEO of Electrolux Lehel Ltd. announced.
Originally, the company
planned to reduce their staff by 110 persons, now „only” 95
people are unemployed. The CEO has also underlined the fact that
Hungary is strongly affected by the crisis as its firms aim to
deliver to the weakining Eastern-European market in the first place.
Zsolt Belényesi, product manager of Electrolux sees no market
improvement in the short term, in fact Hungarian market-possibilities
have been reduced by 9.5 percent in the past one year in terms of
quantity, while value-wise there is a massive 10 percent decrease.
