Auchan’s loyalty program, the Trust Program, is being renewed after 10 years
Auchan’s loyalty program was launched just ten years ago, and now, on the occasion of the anniversary, the conditions of the Loyalty Program, the rules for collecting points, as well as the benefits of the Family and Retirement Day are significantly renewed. Auchan will also promote the innovations and extra discounts with a large-scale prize draw in October.
There is serious competition between store chains to retain customers. One of the important goals of retailers is to turn occasional customers into returning regular customers, and customer loyalty is also recognized by larger chains with loyalty programs.
Auchan’s loyalty program, the Trust Program, was launched ten years ago. A Loyalty card is connected to the program, with which the points collected after purchases could be redeemed at a ratio of two to one, i.e. two points are worth one HUF. A few years ago, an extremely favorable change for customers was introduced into the program, since then the points can be purchased one at a time.
Now, on the occasion of the jubilee, the Loyalty program is being renewed again, so that with the new, band-based points collection system, it can be even better adapted to shopping habits and loyal customers can benefit from even more discounts. At the bronze level, 1 point is awarded for every 1,000 forints spent on monthly spending of up to 75,000 forints, while at the silver level, 3 points are awarded between 75,000 and 150,000 forints, and customers are credited with an extra 1,000 points per month. At the gold level, the customer gets 5 points for every HUF 1,000, as well as an extra 2,500 points per month. By the way, points also accrue after refueling at Auchan gas stations, but these points can also be purchased in the store.
Perhaps the groups most exposed to the prices: families with young children and pensioners, they want to favor even more by giving them a 5% discount on the total amount of their purchases once every month, if they come shopping on Monday’s Retirement Day and Thursday’s Family Day.
