Retail sales expanded further
In April, retail sales grew by 4.4 percent in line with the raw data, while calendar effect adjusted, mainly due to Easter effect increased by 6.1 percent, compared to the previous year, according to the second estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH). In the second estimate both raw and adjusted data were 0.1 percentage points higher than it was reported in the first estimate.
In mixed food and food retail trade, volume of sales grew by 2.3 percent. In food businesses (77 percent of food retail sales), the volume of sales increased by 0.9, while the sales of food, beverage and tobacco retailers increased by 4.2 percent. (MTI)
