SPAR developed a new way to fight against food waste
In Austria, the company cooperates with a brewery, where beer is brewed from bread baked at the Interspar bakery, but not sold – Origo wrote.
The retail chain cooperated with the Salzburg-based Gusswerk brewery, to make beer from not sold organic bread – the Magyar Mezőgazdaság (Hungarian Agriculture) site wrote. Reinhold Barta, the brewing master of the plant told: the Interspar bakery is Austria’s largest handicrafts bakery. For such a large size, it is inevitable that surplus is created. (origo)
