KSH: the six-month foreign trade surplus is approaching 5.4 billion euros
In the first half of the year, exports increased by 9.9 percent and the value of imports calculated in euros increased by 11.3 percent, compared to the same period of last year.
Despite a noticeably higher growth rate in imports, the trade balance surplus fell by only 41 million euros to 5.377 billion euros, according to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
In June, exports were 4.5 percent and imports were 6.5 percent higher than in the previous year, while the surplus decreased by 97 million euros to 1,060 billion euros. (MTI)
