Inflation is over two percent
Consumer prices were on average 2.1 percent higher in July than a year before. Compared to June, the average consumer price did not change, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.
In the first seven months, consumer prices increased by 2.3 percent, compared to the same period of last year.
The seasonally adjusted annual core inflation was 2.6 percent in July.
Over the course of a year, the 7.9 percent increase in tobacco prices was the most significant in terms of the price increase, the holiday services did not grow significantly, which can be observed in July each year, but this year the price increase slightly exceeded the normal level – Mináry Borbála, Head of Department of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) told.
