Retail sales growth accelerated in the Czech Republic
Retail sales increased by 5.6 percent on an annual basis in the Czech Republic in January – the Czech Statistical Office announced in Prague. In December last year, this figure was 3 percent.
Internet sales increased at a highest pace by 27.4 percent. The increase in the sales of industrial goods were high as well: 9.2 percent. However, sales of food products increased by only 0.1 percent, so essentially stagnated. (Kokes János, MTI)
