Magazine: Using the ideal tyres generates profit
Continental Hungaria Kft. has been an expert of road safety for more than 145 years. Now the company is taking this to an even higher level with the Vision Zero concept, the goal of which is to get from the best brake performance to zero death, zero injuries and zero accidents.
Marketing manager Ferenc Musztrai told: their innovation work in making new tyres is done along these lines. With its Conti360° fleet service, the company enables partners to achieve the lowest overall driving costs. From perfect selection of the tyres through correct fitting, ongoing monitoring and reporting, fast 24-hour response in the event of a tyre breakdown all over Europe to the proper handling of worn tyres. Continental offers the perfect tyre for all vehicle types and operating conditions, be it road transport, passenger transport, special freight forwarding or winter driving conditions.
Ákos Szilágyi, senior client service manager of Michelin Hungária Kft.’s Service & Solution business line reckons that the biggest advantage is finding the tyres that suit usage conditions and user needs the best. For this the driving style, weather conditions and way of use must be known. Michelin’s efforts aim at creating products with a small environmental and social impact. Up until the legal wear limit of 1.6mm, Michelin tyres can be used safely and they save lots of time and money with their excellent performance.
Árpád Tiszay, sales director of Abroncs Kereskedőház Kft. believes that safety is the most important factor when selecting which tyre to use. He called attention to the fact that using winter tyres in the summer period is risky: the braking distance of winter tyres in summer road conditions is three times longer than that of summer tyres. Mr Tiszay added that using premium category tyres also entails lower fuel costs. Abroncs Kereskedőház Kft. is present with products in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia. There are more than 50 brands in the company’s portfolio, they are the exclusive distributors of Momo, Falken, Toyo, Nexen and Kumho tyres and the special distributors of Castrol, BP and Aral lubricants. The fleet business is of key importance for the company. Hungary’s most modern tyre service and repair centres, a large quantity of products in stock, a full logistic background and nationwide coverage make the company the ideal partner for both multinational firms and SMEs. //
