New Hungarian wine terms will soon be put under protected by EU law
Progress has been made on the protection of Hungarian wines in the EU, as the European Commission is addressing the issue of traditional Hungarian wine terms that have been submitted five years ago, and their official registration will soon take place – Erdős Norbert MEP (Fidesz) told MTI in a communication.
According to his information, Phil Hogan, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, provided information on this in his answer to the parliamentary question of the MEP.
Erdős Norbert reminded that the Hungarian government, on the proposal of the National Council of Mountain Communities, applied for EU protection in the summer of 2014 at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture on five new terms. (MTI)
